Hi! My name is Naomi Brown, and I am thrilled to be joining the faculty at A Step Above Dance and Music Academy this fall. Having grown up in and around the studio, I’ve always been inspired by its supportive and uplifting environment. It has long been my goal to return as a teacher, and I am honored to now have that opportunity. I look forward to working alongside the talented staff and sharing my passion and experience with all of you!

Naomi's Dance Bio
Naomi first began dancing at the age of two in an MSCR program, and she discovered her passion for movement early on. At four years old she began dancing here at A Step Above, where her foundation in multiple styles of dance began to flourish. By the age of nine, she earned a spot on the studio’s competition team, launching a journey of more intense training and performances. Throughout her dance career, Naomi has broadened her experience through elite programs, including classes with Harlem Theater of Dance and Milwaukee Ballet. She performed in numerous ballets with Monona Academy of Dance, deepening her love for classical technique and storytelling through movement.
She has received scholarships from Dupree Dance, AMDA, and has held many titles in her time as a competitive dancer. In addition, Naomi joined her high school's dance team, eventually becoming captain, where she developed strong leadership skills and choreographed many of their half time routines and even a trio her team took to competitions. Most recently Naomi completed an apprenticeship with Madison Contemporary Dance, gaining valuable professional experience in a concert dance setting.
Today, Naomi continues to pursue her passion for dance with a commitment to growth, creativity, and connection.
