I'm Bryanna Cure and I am excited to teach at A Step Above because dance is wonderful for the mind and body. I love seeing dancers grow more confident and creative every week. It is inspiring to watch dancers become inspired!

Check out a bit more about me below!

Bryanna's Dance Bio

Bryanna first started taking dance classes in Madison, Wisconsin, when she was four years old. When she was nine years old she began dancing here at A Step Above! Throughout primary and secondary school she studied ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hula (hula at Virginia Davis). In high school she also joined her school’s pom squad, performing pom, funk, and kick routines. Bryanna’s passion followed her into college where she continued to study dance, adding contemporary, ballroom styles, and musical theater classes to her repertoire. She also joined a collegiate dance team for three years where she was captain and MVP (She later coached this team for an additional two years.). With her collegiate team she successfully choreographed for and participated in dance competitions throughout the Midwest, in group numbers, solos, and duets.

Bryanna danced for the Wisconsin Wolfpack, a professional indoor football team. She also danced with the Madison Mustangs, and the Dane County Hawks (semi-professional football teams). She has also performed contemporary dance pieces with Fresco Opera in local theaters.

Currently, Bryanna is a member of Wingspan Dance Madison, a contemporary modern dance company, since 2018. She believes in lifelong learning and continues to attend conventions and workshops, take classes in the community (particularly with inspiring tap artist Katherine Kramer), and immerse herself in dance culture and diversity.

Bryanna has been teaching dance for over a decade, in a variety of styles, and working with a spectrum of students, from beginning level young children to advanced level teens and adults. She has choreographed and coached multiple teams and students to award winning performances at regional and national competitions. She is dedicated to cultivating passion for dance in a fun and positive atmosphere and inspiring students to express themselves through movement. She is thrilled to be back at A Step Above as an instructor!
